Florida Beach Portrait Guide

Early morning and late afternoon generally have the best lighting for beach portraits.

The light is just too bright and harsh in the middle of the day where there is little or no shade, and shadows and squinting become a problem.

Most photographers start their beach sessions begin about an hour before sunset. If your session is going to be at home, at a park, or downtown where there is more shade, you will be less restricted with time.
