Florida Beach Portrait Guide

There are lots of places to get Family Portraits on the beach. Aruba, Jamaica…(I have to stop there or I’ll upset the Beach Boys!), the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, Hawaii, and California come to mind. However, I’m all about easy, and frankly, none of these places comes close to Florida when it comes to ease and cost of travel. (Unless you happen to live near one of these beautiful places, in which case, why are you reading about how to plan Family Portraits on the Beach in Florida?).

For starters, Aruba, Jamaica, the Bahamas, and most other Caribbean destinations now require a passport. This can add weeks or months, and a ton of headache and hassle, to planning your Family Portraits. Why worry about whether the kids will get their passports in time for your Family Portraits, when you all could just hop a flight (or hop in the car and drive) to Tampa Bay, Miami, or Key West and be sipping margaritas by sunset?

And for most of us on the East Coast (and our friends in Europe who can book last minute Florida holidays for next to nothing!), the price of traveling to California or Hawaii just doesn’t make sense when compared to Florida. The larger your family, the wider this gap becomes. Enough said.
